Healing Gardens Quilts

The Healing Gardens Quilt Show is composed of 27 quilts made by Northern Virginia quilters. Each quilt depicts a plant currently under investigation or being used as a potential source for cancer-fighting drugs. The quilts were stitched by family and friends in memory of Lenore Ann Parham, an accomplished fabric artist and quilt teacher, who lost a four-year battle with ovarian cancer in 1997. Thanks to a generous loan of the collection by Walter Parham, the Society toured this exhibit throughout the U.S. from 2002 - 2005.
